We enjoyed this beautiful, well maintained and tastefully decorated house. Quietly located with a view of the greenery with a lovely outdoor kitchen and veranda. The kitchen is very complete, really everything is there. The rest of the house is superb. Spacious bedrooms, beautiful bathrooms. Beaches and shops a short drive away. The swimming pool provided a welcome cooling during the hot days. Nice villages in the area as well as beautiful beaches and bays for snorkeling.

Lovely complete holiday home. Nice green view from the terrace. Nice house to visit with three families. The house has everything you could wish for. The outdoor kitchen with dishwasher and refrigerator at the pool is a wonderful place to stay. The condition of the road to the top is not good, but the landlord indicated that the renovation of the road will be started at the end of this year.

We enjoyed our stay at the villa very much. Everything you wish for is available, from extensive kitchen to nice rooms. The swimming pool is a very nice place to spend the day, after which you can have a delicious barbeque in the evening and end the evening in the bar below the pool. Nicole and Marcel are also great landlords, they were always there for you and the communication went great.

This was a very successful week for us.

From the assessment it can already be concluded that this house is FANTASTIC. We were with the whole family, including young children. The girls were completely delighted with the dressing up clothes. The boys with Playmobil, musical instruments. Children are therefore very welcome in this house. Marcel and Nicole are enthusiastic and friendly people, where you quickly feel welcome.
The outdoor kitchen and outdoor lounge were frequently used by us. Very cozy.
Of course the swimming pool was also a hot item. That was also regularly checked by Marcel.
In short: you are thinking of renting a house with lots of space. I say go for it!

We had two wonderful weeks in Villa Gavarres! What a beautiful house, beautifully situated in nature, where we were cheerfully awakened every morning by the many birds. What a party! On arrival we were warmly welcomed by Nicole and Marcel, who gave us an extensive tour of the house. We have lacked for nothing, great! A super kitchen, a wonderful, heated swimming pool, a great outdoor kitchen, in short, too much to mention! Thank you so much Nicole and Marcel, for the fun 2 weeks! Highly recommended, by the way, is the 4 x4 Gavarres Experience by Marcel, right through the Gavarres with a delicious lunch 👍🏻. We would like to come back again!

Villa Gavarres is definitely recommended! We really enjoyed the nice villa with two families with 4 teenagers 😉 we had more than enough space for this. It is fully equipped, good bedrooms, nice beds and bathrooms, attractively decorated inside and out, every detail has been taken into account, wonderful view! lots of games and chilling outside by the pool. Our men love to cook and there were excellent cooking facilities, they made delicious pulled pork in the Kamado 4 hours of slow cooking, beyond expectations. Nicole and Marcel are super hosts, always available and more than hospitable! Thank you! Greetings family Coolen 🙂

What a fantastic week we had at Villa Gavarres!!! The house lacked nothing. Never rented such a complete and above all beautifully and cozy furnished home! Very complete kitchen, actually everything was more than complete. Also good beds.
The house is located in the "mountains" of Calonge, wonderfully quiet but still close to everything. Also great to do with the taxi if you want to go out for dinner in the evening but don't feel like driving 😉.
If we really have to think of something why we don't give a big fat 10, we lacked some storage space in some bedrooms.
Nicole and Marcel, thanks again!

Tip: with Marcel on a "safari" through the Gavarres and enjoying real local food, was super!!

We had a fantastic week in this very complete and luxurious holiday villa. We were more than warmly welcomed and the owners are very willing to provide all support if necessary, in addition to a lot of information that is available in the house.
The house exudes a real Catalan atmosphere with many authentic elements. There is a lot of space so something for everyone. It is wonderful to stay there and we are all convinced that this is worth repeating. Thank you Nicole and Marcel for this wonderful week in your paradise.

Nicole and Marcel have a beautiful holiday home that they have clearly set up with love, experience, hospitality and craftsmanship.
Each room has been carefully decorated and each terrace had its charm and a moment when it was “the best spot” of the day. Everything is there in the house, so we did not miss a moment. The children loved the swimming pool, of course, but also the game box, the sun loungers and special objects in the house were favorites.
In short: nothing is missing for a wonderful holiday and we warmly recommend the house!

With 2 families with adult children and supporters, had a wonderful week in Villa Gavarres with a beautiful view! Super friendly reception by Marcel, and easily accessible if you needed him. We have been renting houses together for a long time, and are very spoiled, but this villa with several floors and terraces has been decorated with a lot of love.
Kitchen fully equipped, and also a nice outdoor kitchen, where you can enjoy wonderful evenings on the terrace. A point for us is that there was no air conditioning yet, but it is coming. Is a bit higher against the mountain, so you have to do everything by car.

Rented many houses in recent years, but this house surpasses it all. Decorated with a lot of love and taste. Kitchen is better equipped than at home. There are several seating areas in and around the house, so there is always a place to retreat. The house is in excellent condition, including the furnishings, both inside and out. Beautiful view, pleasure to wake up every day. We were here with 2 families including 6 teenagers. The teenagers have fully enjoyed the 'pool house', especially in the evenings ... Marcel and Nicole are great hosts. The area is also great, for example, you are at the beach in 10 minutes. Enough activities to do. We will definitely come back again.

After our visit in June 2019, we thought it couldn't get any better... but it could! How we enjoyed it again! In addition to the (still) beautiful surroundings, the house has become even more beautiful and is even fully equipped with air conditioning, a second fantastic outdoor kitchen has been made by the pool (with a wine fridge, yes yes, refrigerator and dishwasher)! So if you don't want to go inside to cook in the summer, you can just do that by the pool to your heart's content, and have a nice long dinner! And there is a new large Smart TV in the living room, so we were able to watch the European Championship there. What more could be desired, nothing right? It's that we can't give an 11, otherwise we certainly would have.
Dear Nicole and Marcel, thank you for letting us 'borrow' your house for another two weeks, thanks for the great reception and for the fun! Looking forward to next time!

We stayed in Nicole and Marcel's beautiful villa from July 30 to August 13, 2022. We enjoyed going on holiday with all the children and grandchildren and the Villa Gavarres is ideal for that. In total we were 8 adults and 2 children. So 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms was perfect. In addition, the Villa is very nicely decorated and the interior is very complete! There are quite a few stairs. Not a problem for us, but difficult for people with walking difficulties.
Since it was very hot during our holiday, we made a lot of use of the perfect swimming pool. Size and depth fine and the water was regularly checked by Marcel. And everyone had their own lounger. How nice is that! Enough umbrellas, although 2 needed to be replaced, but that is arranged by Marcel and Nicole. And then the great veranda / outdoor kitchen. There, too, nothing is missing. We have had many pleasant evenings there. From the terrace you have a beautiful view of the Gavarres nature reserve. In the evening we spotted wildlife several times.
So a fantastic villa in a beautiful place. It was a pity that the road to the villa is still very bad. As a result, you are really longer than 15 minutes on the way to the supermarket / beach / villages. Anyway, that is being worked on and Marcel and Nicole can't change anything about it either.
But with a group you can enjoy yourself in and around the villa. Our daughters had even organized water games villa Gavarres. Lots of laughs and enjoyed.
Nicole and Marcel are very nice, hospitable, attentive and cordial people. They have everything perfectly organized and are there for you if you need it. So toppers.

We had a fantastic family holiday in Marcel and Nicole's villa! We were a family with several families and children, there is plenty of room to eat together, play one of the many games available and celebrate our parents' 40th anniversary. But also enough space to retreat to one of the terraces or rooms. Every morning a cup of coffee on the terrace in the rising sun with the sound of many birds, that's nice to wake up to! The villa is well cared for, well maintained, well cleaned and furnished with care. Everything is there to prepare a tasty meal in one of the three kitchens. You will lack nothing in the villa! The welcome from Nicole was very friendly, there was a nice welcome package waiting for us and she has good tips for restaurants in the area. Marcel occasionally came by for the maintenance of the swimming pool, which was at a good temperature for the fresh spring.
The villa is a good base for a day trip to Barcelona, Girona, Platja d'Aro, the Dali museum in Figueras, Besalu and many other nice villages in the area. Along the coast is a beautiful hiking trail, Cami de Ronda.
The villa is less suitable for people with walking difficulties due to the many stairs in the house.
The house is located in an urbanization near the town of Colonge, with many small winding roads up the hill you reach the house. At the moment they are working on the road surface which is in very bad condition (deep holes in the asphalt, loose stones), Nicole and Marcel do their best to give you the best route to the house, but unfortunately this changes daily at the moment, which made it a bit of a search at times. This also made it necessary to search for the waste containers. It is expected that this will improve in the coming months.
But all in all, highly recommended and we will definitely come back!
